Skimm HQ Office Design
Role: Creative Direction, Project Management, Interior Design
As we began to outgrow our small office space, theSkimm began plans of moving to a new space, an office 5 times the size. This would be our more permanent office where we could continue to grow the team and our business. I was tasked with designing the new 20,000 square foot office space prior to our move. I was handed a floor plan and with that developed a concept and brought the space to life.
I began by designing each room aerially, inclusive of furniture, accessories, carpeting, wall color. What that we were able to identify each room’s purpose and how we can make the brand feel alive in each space. Once of the biggest challenges was to maintain the intimacy and ‘home-like’ of our previous office in such a large, blank canvas space.
